And here at last, after the presentation of three costumes for Halloween for girls, two ideas for boys, maybe even two babies. This time, to act as models, as well as to design this, my beautiful grandchildren  Francesco and Federico (a big thank you to mom and dad Michela  and Fabio!) For reasons of age, the greatest contribution was made by Francesco Federico then came to terrorize us all with his poses as a dinosaur! For two wonderful brothers as my grandchildren, I propose to make these two costumes DIY shark and dinosaur. For both the base is a hoodie plain, then serve the colored felt in contrasting colors with the base of fleece, scissors, tape measure, safety pins and needles (mom’s help and supervision required!).

As you can see in these photos with Francis, to make a  DIY shark Halloween’s costume , you have to start by measuring the circumference of the cap, to develop the total length on a piece of white felt to achieve super sharp teeth of the shark! Help! Once the trace drawn on the felt, cut down the sign, attach the felt along the perimeter of the cap with safety pins (if you want to reuse the sweatshirt, but if you use a mesh which has already spent hours and hours of games and do not can really more, you can also sew it).

Argh!!!!

Fixed teeth, Francis used the jars from the kitchen of different sizes to meet the eyes of the shark, white felt on a larger circle on the black felt and we have one more child fixed at the same height on the cap with a needle and thread. Our DIY shark  Halloween’s costume is almost ready …. we still have to do the frightful fin! Argh!!

Francis  drawn  on dark blue felt (blue like the sea … this shark really want to blend in to surprise its prey!) the fin of the shark, he cut it, attached it to the back of the sweatshirt with safety pins. … et voilà! We finished our DIY shark costume! What do you think? It is not the terror of the seas?

The end result is really nice, all thanks to Francis!

But if you also have  two  boys like my sister in law, what his brother you will wear ? If a brother goes to sea … the other will go on the floor , of course ! Federico will dress as the role of a terrifying ( !) Dinosaur!

To achieve it we used the same materials that were used for the shark costume , both for practicality , not to buy a thousand different things, and because it so the two brothers have different costumes , but always in tune with each other for colors and materials. The costume dinosaur DIY Frederick Francis has made cutting , with the blue felt used for its shark fin , many triangles of different sizes which then applied along the back of the cap and sweatshirt, always with the pins diaper . He then cut from white felt , a long triangular piece to make the tail of the dinosaur , even on this piece of fabric applied two triangles of blue felt . To verify the success of the dinosaur costume for Halloween DIY his brother , Francis has tried it even though he was really small !
