L’ho già detto tante volte che per me il vero inizio d’anno non è Capodanno ma il ritorno dalle vacanze d’estate, il mese di settembre in particolare; sarà perchè ho ancora la testa impostata con la scuola, anche se è meglio che non conti quanti anni sono passati dal mio ultimo inzio anno scolastico…ehm…
I have already said it many (many!) times that for me the real beginning of the year is not New Year’s Day but the return from summer holidays, especially in September. Maybe it should be because I still have the head set up with the school, although it is better not to count how many years have passed since my last school year started!
Tornare ritemprati dalle ferie, le giornate che sono ancora lunghe, luminose, ma non più calde afose, mi ha sempre dato una carica e un’energia che si tramuta, con somma gioia del maritino, in “Evvai, smontiamo casa, rifacciamo, rinnoviamo!!”.
Il mio è sicuramente un sentire comune a molte! Pensavo, mentre ancora oziavo sulla sdraio qualche giorno fa, a quello che vorrei rinnovare in casa; sicuramente devo completare di arredare la cameretta di Baby, più che altro con qualche complemento e qualche poster – beh… i poster li disegno io per cui non e un problema – devo terminare il soggiorno e soprattutto devo finire di organizzare il mio angolo craft – ho fatto grandi rivoluzioni, presto pubblicherò un post sulla mia nuova craft room! Le esigenze sono cambiate perchè il blog è cambiato, cresciuto, gli spazi di prima non mi bastano e poi ho bisogno di un luogo luminoso per scattare le foto; la luce naturale è la migliore così ho pensato di spostare il mio angolo craft nel sottotetto.
Io amo i locali mansardati: li trovo davvero suggestivi, sprigionano calore grazie al senso di intimità che creano. Mi piace moltissimo che siano inondati di luce: nella mia professione di architetto la luce è uno dei primi fattori che prendo in considerazione durante la progettazione; i benefici di una illuminazione naturale, e zenitale in particolar modo, sono molteplici, dal comfort, alla vivibilità dell’ambiente, al risparmio di illuminazione artificiale arrivando sino ai benefici sull’umore.
In September days are still long, bright but not so hot: this always gives me energy that is transformed (and my hubby is very, very happy) in “Let’s go, let’s renew home, reshape it, renew it all!!”.
Mine is definitely a common feeling to many! I was thinking, as I was still on the deckchair a few days ago, about what I would like to renew at home. I definitely have to complete furnishing Baby’s nursery, with some complement and some poster – well … I can easily design posters!
Above all I have to finish my new craft room: I will show it in a post! My needs have changed because the blog has changed, grown, the space before is not enough and then I need a bright place to take photos; natural light is the best so I thought I would move my corner craft into the attic. I love lofty rooms, I think they’re really suggestive, and most of all I really enjoy being flooded with light. In my architectural profession light is one of the first factors that I consider during design; the benefits of natural lighting, and particularly zenithal, are manifold, from comfort, to the living of the environment, to the saving of artificial illumination and to the benefits of mood.
L’ambiente che vorrei ricreare è simile a quello che vedi in foto, minimal, una palette di colori neutra, un angolo molto “cozy”, o hygge se preferisci, dove raccogliere e sviluppare le mie idee. Come vedi non è necessario avere un grande spazio; basta un ampio tavolo addossato ad una parete – o anche solo una mensola come nella foto sottostante- una seduta comoda, un mobile contenitore e tantissima luce! Il modo più facile, veloce ed economico per ottenere luce naturale nel locale sottotetto è l’installazione di un lucernario; è importante scegliere prodotti di qualità e affidarsi ad installatori qualificati per non rischiare di ritrovarsi poi con problemi di infiltrazioni dal tetto, per casa mia ho scelto i lucernari della Velux. Ormai la gamma è davvero ampia e vi sono accessori complementari atti a soddisfare ogni tipo di esigenza. Cosa altro può servire? Una parete libera e del washi tape per creare una bacheca delle idee, che serve anche da decorazione, con tutto ciò che mi ispira.

Ti è mai capitato di sentire piovere quando sei in mansarda? Beh….il solo soffermarsi ad ascoltare il ticchettio lento della pioggia sul tetto e sui vetri dei lucernari dona un senso di quiete e pace che non è facile creare diversamente.
Have you ever heard the sound of rain when you are in the attic? Well …. just listening to the slow ticking of the rain on the roof and the skylight windows gives a sense of quiet and peace that is not easy to create otherwise.
Puoi anche pensare, visto che siamo in pieno periodo di ritorno a scuola, di organizzare uno spazio studio per i tuoi bimbi e ragazzi: io e mia sorella avevamo, ai tempi del liceo, creato ognuna il proprio angolo studio in mansarda, con stili e complementi diversi, separati da mobili fruibili da entrambe le parti. Una bella idea per ampliare e vivere nuovi spazi, non trovi?
You may also arrange a study space for your children and teenagers: my sister and I, when we lived with our parents, had each our own study corner in the attic, with different styles, separated by furniture that can be used on both sides. A good idea to expand and live new spaces, what do you think?
