Oggi inauguriamo una nuova rubrica, TRUCCHI E CONSIGLI… di bellezza, direte voi? Nooo, non sono proprio il tipo! Sono ferma al dentifricio sui brufoli, fate un po’ voi! Consigli e trucchi per arredare la casa in modo semplice ed efficace.
Inizierei con il soggiorno: in America spesso viene detto “family room” a significare che il soggiorno è lo spazio dove la famiglia si riunisce, chiacchera, gioca, mangia, guarda la tv: e più modi di vivere questo spazio si trovano, meglio è. Proviamo ad analizzare insieme gli spazi e a vedere quali siano le soluzioni migliori per rendere più vivibile e piacevole il soggiorno!

I would start with the living room: in America is often called “family room” which means that the living room is the space where the family comes together, talk, play, eat, watch TV: and more ways to experience this space are, the better . Let’s analyze the spaces together and see what are the best solutions to make it more livable and give an enjoyable stay!
1. Stanza rettangolare, sono presenti molte aperture (finestre, porte, magari anche un bel caminetto o stufa): come disporre gli arredi?
1. Rectangular room, there are many openings (windows, doors, maybe even a nice fireplace or stove): how to arrange the furniture?
Centriamo lo spazio e creiamo un punto forte all’interno della stanza, disponendo poltrone e/o divani esattamente al centro dell’ambiente: questo favorisce la possibilità di conversazione. Se nella stanza ci sono delle finestre, non esitiamo a metterci davanti delle poltrone: in questo modo la lettura sarà facilitata grazie all’illuminazione naturale (mi vedo già con un libro, in questo momento sto rileggendo… ehm… Via col vento… si, si, lo so… non c’è bisogno di dirmi nulla! e una tazza di the verde all’echinacea per tenere lontana l’influenza che imperversa) e sarà sempre possibile aprire la finestra. Riquadrando lo spazio conversazione con un tappeto aumenterà il senso di confort dell’ambiente (ed è perfetto per farci giocare sopra i bambini!). Negli spazi liberi lungo le pareti posizionerei degli arredi bassi e molto contenitivi, per enfatizzare e positivizzare la presenza di tante aperture. Ecco quello a cui penso:

Free spaces along the walls would allow to position furniture and emphasize the presence of so many openings. Here’s what I have in mind:
2. Stanza di forma irregolare con un forte passaggio su un lato: l’ingresso alla casa avviene attraverso il soggiorno da cui si raggiungono le altre camere.
Questo è un ambiente complesso, con molte aperture e poche pareti libere, mi viene da chiamarlo “porto”: più che sostare vien voglia di passarci in fretta e basta. Quello che dobbiamo ottenere è di ancorare l’attenzione in un punto che diventa il fulcro della stanza. Per ottenere quest’effetto potremmo usare delle poltroncine leggere, che possono essere spostate facilmente. Sistemare il mobile tv su una parete, per quanto piccola, permette di dare un orientamento all’ambiente. E’ quindi necessario che il divano sia posizionato in modo da essere comodo per la tv e che le poltroncine possano essere alternativamente orientate verso la tv o vicine al divano per favorire la conversazione. Ecco quello che intendo parlando di poltroncine leggere che possono essere orientate come necessario. Tavolini leggeri e di dimensioni contenute permettono di modificare lo spazio come si vuole.
This is a complex space with many openings and few free walls, I wuld call it a “port room” meaning that more than one would like to stop and pass quickly enough. What we need to achieve is to anchor one’s attention to a point that becomes the centerpiece of the room. To obtain this we could use a light armchairs, which can be easily moved . Place the TV unit on a wall, no matter how small, this makes possible to give an orientation to the room. Therefore it’s necessary that the sofa is positioned so as to be convenient for the TV and that the seats can alternatively be oriented close to the TV or to the sofa to encourage conversation. Here’s what I mean talking about reading chairs that can be oriented as needed. Lightweight and small sized tables allow you to change the space as you want.
3. Stanza stretta, in cui è necessario ricavare lo spazio per mangiare e quello di soggiorno (forse la situazione più ricorrente nelle nostre case).
Questo spazio deve essere studiato con estrema attenzione, per non scadere nel diffuso (troppo) modello: il tinello di mia nonna. Voglio dire: bando ai divanetti sfigati messi nell’angolo più buio… per non dare fastidio e potercisi buttare sopra quando siamo stravolte da un’intensa giornata! Pensiamo in modo diverso: il tavolo? in centro e il divano magari pure! Gli elementi contenitivi (armadi, buffet, scaffali) disponiamoli in modo simmetrico lungo una parete e lasciamo le altre libere. Il tavolo… ehh bel problema, se vi dico che il primo pensiero che mi è venuto è stato quello di un tavolo rotondo, cosa pensereste? Che sbaglio clamorosamente, e avreste ragione. Infatti in stanze piccole il tavolo deve avere la forma della stanza: voglio dire in una stanza quadrata ci vorrà un tavolo quadrato, in una rettangolare un tavolo rettangolare. Perchè? perchè allarga lo spazio e permette la seduta di più commensali! Una panca poi può essere una soluzione interessante come seduta: ingombra poco e permette di accomodare contemporaneamente più persone rispetto alle sedie. Il divano deve essere leggero, in modo da poterlo spostare agevolmente se a tavola si è in tanti! Un esempio nell’immagine qui sotto:
This space must be studied very carefully , so as not to fall into widespread (too much) model : grandma’s dining room! We have to think in a different way: the table? in the center and maybe even the sofa ! The storage units (cupboards , buffets , shelves) will stay symmetrically along one wall and leave the others free. The table … ehh big problem , if I tell you that the first thought that came to me was that of a round table, what would you think ? What a mistake, and you’d be right . In fact, in small rooms the table should have the shape of the room: I mean in a square room better a square table in a rectangular one a rectangular table . Why ? because it widens the space and makes possible to seat more people! A bench then can be an interesting solution: a little cluttered and allows you to simultaneously accommodate more people than chairs. The sofa should be light, so you can move it easily if ayou need!
